Sup ppl managed to stumble across ur clan and have had NoName added on my battlelog a while now, saw u guys look pretty good and wanted to share some info of an upcoming game and a proposition.
ok onto some business, idk how much u guys know of DUST 514 but its basically shaping up to be a mix of Battlefield + MAG but on crack. Intense Vehicle combat like BF with a heavy play on large battles and squad roles and customisations like MAG. 24V24 battles MINIMUM it seems plus cud go as large as 32v32 since they said that isnt set in stone yet.
the thing that sets this apart from those others and why i say its those games on crack is that ur not just fighting random matches and moving up a leaderboard but ur fighting against other clans over ownership of territory and can own entire planets.
we are currently in an alliance with some other top clans from MAG etc. We also have some clans coming in from other games as well like SOCOM and BF
Egos, drama and childish crap are left out the door, we looking to build something special here.
Our alliance isnt a dictatorship but a democratic one, each clan that is in has an equal say and we vote on discussions etc. An alliance is a structure in the game above the regular clan setup we accustomed to in shooters, its been apart of EVE and since EVE and DUST are connected it will be apart of DUST 514 as well. An alliance is basically a grp of clans banding together under 1 banner, its NOT a merger of clans....each clan keeps their own identity,tags,logo but also apart of a bigger grp of clans(think NATO). To be successful in the game ur gonna need an alliance unless ur clan has ridiculously large numbers because u will want to be able to own and defend ur territory and assets so u need a large force that can not only help u defend but also expand.
We have some simple guidelines for our alliance

-Alliance council makes all alliance based decisions
-Alliance council consists of 1 leader 2 officers from each clan
-All clan leaders and officers must be trustworthy
-Each clan in the council gets 1 vote on all decisions
-Leaders must be willing to share phone numbers and/or other contact info like skype
-If leader is not reachable durring decision making #1 officer takes his spot
-Strict recruitment methods
-In game recruits NEVER gain access to ANYTHING
now to clarify a few points that sometimes cause some confusion
1. Strict recruitment methods: simply means that we are aiming to be 1 if not the top DUST alliance so clans should be looking into recruiting good players
2. In-game recruits NEVER gain access to ANYTHING: Trust is a big part of EVE and will be in DUST, careless corporations (corps = clans) who promote ppl just for the hell of it will be taken advantage of as espionage and theft are a big part of the universe see video as an example:
so this simply means any position that has access to ur corps wallet, assets, equipment etc should be given to trusted members currently on ur roster and not someone u pickup in dust
Lastly the reason im reaching out to clans so early is because we rather be somewhat prepared then wait till the game is fully out to start looking for clans and getting stuff in order i know u all probably wanna see how the game will turn out (beta this winter), i can assure u so does everyone else in this alliance we just wanna be organised so we arent scrambling when the game drops and it does turn out well
worst case scenario is if the game doesnt turn out well and ur not picking it up u can just leave with no worries but still have potential new friends to scrim with in other games but if it does turn out well then u'll already be in an alliance with a goal and structure in place, right now we just gathering good clans who might be interested in this sorta game. We are in the preliminary stages atm of gettin more interested clans together from different games and looking to dominate, ur clan seems like a good multigame clan which is a plus so lemme know if u guys are remotely interested in this game and how many ppl u got as well because its best to plan from early because others are doing the same as well
If interested u can PM stating ur intentions to join and put some background info on ur clan as well like wins-losses-kd-size-location etc

I am definitely keeping an eye out for Dust, but looking at these vids, it looks a bid like a clone between MAG/Homefront/Halo/Mass effect and warhawk.

i'll follow the progress of the game, but, not going to commit this far in advance.
if you keep us informed on the progress of the game then depending how it plays i think it'd be smart to keep in contact definitely.

I want to see how futuristic it is, im not a big fan of sci fi either and i prefer more realistic shooting. Someone told me before that in eve online some people spend like 6 months building a ship or something , only to have a spy turn on them and lose it all. Thats an interesting concept that will be in Dust 514 as long as its not abused that much. I

Depends on how fast the actual gameplay is. I'm certainly interested, and the Beta will make it or break it for me.

i agree with this the concept it sounds great but the gameplay doesnt give me the feeling off excitement i had while watching gameplay of BF3 when it was still being made

if such a concept is put into Dust aswell then i am not interested i had my guild wars account hacked and lost over 6 years of hard work such a event takes the fun out of the game completely and only turns you away from the game

I dont think they would let it get out of hand on ps3, thats more of a pc thing. I want to see how the beta is for sure before anything, theres other games in more interested in this year, plus the dlc for bf3 should keep us going for a while.

Espionage and theft is part of the game. Like i hinted the game is not meant for the weak. U have to be smart and thats why trust is so important u dont allow random ppl access to ur corporations wallet and assets and then cry if said person turns out to be a spy and takes ur assets....its not the devs or game fault its YOUR fault for giving them access in the first place.
Its not about hacking accounts an such, watch the casuality trailer again for what i meant when theft and espionage is involved.
This is a serious game guys not a cod if ur in a big known alliance ppl will try and get spies in ur corp its up to YOU to limit access to ur important stuff to only ur most trusted members. Thats why we are keeping our alliance on the low and making no mention of it in public areas
dont blame the game when its u who have the power to grant access and did so casually without thinking.

a game where you have to be paranoid about everything is not a good concept to build a game on in my opinion
with that said i wish you guys all the luck in the world but im not participating in this game i have seen the fruits of my labor go up in smoke once a second time will completely destroy my interest in games

lol just only give access ur corps assets to officers not rocket science. i would like to think that ur officers are at least trustworthy ppl :/

Some more ideas were thrown around mentioning various types of planets and possibility to make vehicles-only planeteray matches as well. Those ideas are all for expansion and CCP will constantly working on more features. Also, EVE Online players betting on DUST matches in terms of actual eSports and huge amounts of money spinning around that feature are hinted at as well.
Once game is running and it is stable post-release, the EVE/DUST link will improve dramatically as mentioned in some of those points by CCP Jian and also from EVE side.
pretty cool how the more structured competitive matches will be viewable by ppl in EVE and DUST and u will be able to bet ISK on the matches as well
